Mold Max® RTV silicone rubbers will reproduce the finest detail and are suitable for a variety of industrial and art related applications including making molds for reproducing prototypes, furniture, sculpture and architectural elements. Mold Max® silicones can also be used to cast a variety of materials including wax, gypsum, low melt alloys/metals and urethane, epoxy or polyester resins (without using a release agent).
An accurate gram scale is essential when using these products. If you do not have or do not want to use a scale, please use OOMOO Silicone.
NOTE: Mold Max® ‘T’ series silicones should NOT be used to make molds for casting Crystal Clear® Series resins.
Mold Max™ 10 (Light Pink) can be thickened with THI-VEX™ additive for brush-on applications.
Mold Max™ Silicones can be used to cast a variety of materials including wax, gypsum, low melt alloys/metals and urethane, epoxy or polyester resins (without using a release agent).
Vacuum degassing mixed material using a vacuum pump and chamber to remove entrapped air is recommended.
Mold Max™ 25 (Purple)can be thickened with THI-VEX™ additive for brush-on applications.
Compared to the other Mold Max™ products, Mold Max™ 25 has a lower viscosity Part A, making the rubber easier to mix and easier to vacuum de-gas.The working time for the Mold Max™ 25 is an extra-long 60 minutes for large mold pours or for pouring several molds from a single batch of rubber.
Mold Max™ 30 (Pink) can be thickened with THI-VEX™ additive for brush-on applications.
Mold Max™ 40(Mint Green) Vacuum degassing mixed material using a vacuum pump and chamber to remove entrapped air is recommended.
Mold Max™ 14NV(White) is a Shore 14A tin-catalyzed silicone rubber that offers low viscosity, fast cure and long library life. Mold Max™ 14 NV does not require vacuum degassing. Mix ratio is 100A:10B by weight. Working time is 40 minutes and cure time is 4 hours at room temperature. Mold Max™ 14NV will reproduce the finest detail and is suitable for a variety of industrial and art related applications including making molds for reproducing prototypes, furniture, sculpture and architectural elements.
Mold Max™ 14NV can also be used to create movie special effects. Cure time can be reduced with Accel-T™ cure accelerator. Mold Max™ 14NV can be used to cast a variety of materials including concrete, wax, gypsum, low melt alloys/metals and urethane, epoxy or polyester resins.
- Mold Max™ 14NV has a fast cure time - 4 hours at room temperature

- Mold Max™ 29NV does not require vacuum degassing
- Low viscosity for easy mixing and pouring
Mold Max™ 10T(Translucent), Mold Max™ 15T(Translucent), Mold Max™ 27T(Translucent) silicone is a water white translucent tin cured silicone rubber compound that has exceptional tear strength and working properties. It features Smooth-On’s “Libra™” catalyst for long library life. Mixed 100A:10B by weight, vacuum degassing is recommended for de-airing. Rubber cures overnight at room temperature. Mold Max™ ‘T’ silicones can be thickened with Thi‑Vex™ thickener for brush-on application and effects.
- Similar in appearance to Smooth-On’s premium Dragon Skin™ platinum silicones
- Mold Max™ ‘T’ silicones are a less costly alternative for creating animatronic skin effects.
- An infinite number of color effects can be achieved by adding Silc Pig™ silicone pigments or Cast Magic™ effects powders.
Mold Max™ STROKE(White) is a brushable tin silicone rubber that self-thickens for making fast brush-on molds of almost any model. Properly applied, it will hold a vertical surface and will reproduce the finest detail. Mixed 100A:10B by weight, rubber quickly develops thixotropy and can be applied with a brush or spatula. Working time is 30 minutes, re-coat time is 45 minutes and cure time after the final layer has been applied is 16 hours at room temperature.
Mold Max™ STROKE silicone will not stick to most surfaces and will cure with negligible shrinkage to a strong, flexible Shore 30A rubber. 4 thin layers is all that is necessary to make a strong and durable production mold for casting wax, gypsum, concrete or resins (urethane, polyester, etc.). Applications include reproducing sculpture, architectural restoration, candle molds, etc.
- Holds a vertical surface
- 4 thin layers is all that is necessary to make a strong and durable production mold
Mold Max™ 60 (Red) is a Shore 60A tin catalyzed silicone rubber formulated for applications requiring high heat resistance (up to 560°F/294°C).
